Job Description

The Technical Writer role involves creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for software products and applications. The candidate will be responsible for producing user-friendly documents such as user guides, installation manuals, training materials, and other technical content with accuracy and clarity.

The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in technical writing tools, and the ability to work with Content Management Systems (CMS).


Responsibilities

Technical Documentation

  • Create and maintain:
    • User Guides
    • Installation Guides
    • Training Materials
    • Software Documentation
    • Product Manuals
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documents.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, updated, and user-friendly.

Tools & Content Management

  • Work with Content Management Tools for documentation handling.
  • Use technical writing tools such as:
    • Adobe FrameMaker
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • SnagIt
    • MS Office
    • MS Word
  • Follow documentation standards like the MSTP Style Guide.

Quality & Accuracy

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of technical documents.
  • Review and update existing documentation when needed.
  • Coordinate with teams to gather technical information for documentation.
