Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation for our software products. The role involves working closely with product development teams, project managers, and technical leads to understand complex systems and translate them into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. The ideal candidate should have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to simplify technical information for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation including system architecture, software design, and user guides
- Develop procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and IT teams to gather accurate information
- Translate complex technical concepts into simple, clear, and engaging content
- Maintain and organize documentation repositories for easy access and consistency
- Evaluate existing content and improve documentation quality and structure
- Ensure all documentation meets organizational standards and guidelines
- Conduct research and maintain a database of reference materials and design specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software product environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to understand technical documents such as architecture diagrams and ER diagrams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
