Senior Technical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payment Switch Engineer with strong expertise in BASE24 EPS and card payment systems.

The role focuses on configuring, customizing, integrating, testing, and supporting enterprise payment switching systems for ATM, POS, and card transaction processing environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of banking/payment ecosystems, interchange certifications, ISO 8583 messaging, and payment switch integrations.

Responsibilities

BASE24 EPS Development & Configuration

• Develop, test, and deploy solutions on:
  • BASE24 EPS
• Configure BASE24 EPS modules as per business requirements
• Prepare migration and deployment scripts
• Customize interfaces and transaction workflows

Interchange & Payment Integration

• Configure and support:
  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • AMEX
  • JCB interchanges
• Implement periodic scheme mandates and updates
• Configure ATM, POS, terminal, and host interfaces
• Integrate BASE24 EPS with HSM systems

Security & Compliance

• Configure:
  • security keys
  • PVKs
  • interchange encryption keys
• Ensure compliance with:
  • ISO 8583
  • scheme certification standards
  • banking security requirements

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Perform interface testing and issue resolution
• Use test simulators for debugging and validation
• Generate MIS and operational reports

Requirements

• Strong experience with:
  • payment switching systems
  • EFT systems
  • BASE24 EPS
• Knowledge of:
  • ISO 8583
  • XML message specifications
  • ATM/POS transaction processing
• Experience integrating with:
  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • AMEX
  • JCB
• Strong programming knowledge in:
  • C++
  • Java
• Experience with:

  • VMware
  • cloud systems (AWS/Azure preferred)
