Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Principal Application Engineer to support pre-sales technical engagements and drive customer success for structural engineering software solutions.

The role combines deep structural engineering expertise with solution consulting, technical sales support, solution architecture, and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural engineering design, Bentley software solutions, and enterprise solution consulting.

Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

  • Support technical pre-sales engagements
  • Work closely with account managers and solution engineering teams
  • Develop technical strategies aligned with customer requirements
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations

Solution Architecture

  • Design and validate solution architectures for customer use cases
  • Perform solution fit assessments
  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) projects
  • Provide implementation guidance and technical recommendations

Customer Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with engineering and consulting clients
  • Understand customer challenges and propose suitable solutions
  • Support RFP responses and technical proposal preparation

Technical Expertise & Innovation

  • Provide expertise in:
    • structural engineering workflows
    • project lifecycle management
    • engineering software deployment
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies

Training & Enablement

  • Conduct technical training for:
    • sales teams
    • partners
    • customers
  • Develop technical collateral and best-practice documentation

Required Skills

  • 15–20 years of experience in:
    • structural engineering
    • consulting
    • design engineering
  • Strong expertise with:
    • STAAD.Pro
    • RAM Structural System
  • Experience in:
    • solution architecture
    • technical sales
    • project delivery
    • deployment strategies
  • Strong customer communication and presentation skills
