Job Description

A Network Engineer (Infrastructure) is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise network systems. The role focuses on network performance, security, scalability, and cloud/on-premise connectivity across data centers and enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management

  • Design and maintain LAN, WAN, and data center networks
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Support hybrid cloud networking environments

Operations & Support

  • Monitor network performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot L2/L3 network issues
  • Perform root cause analysis for incidents
  • Handle upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh activities

Security & Compliance

  • Implement firewalls, ACLs, IDS/IPS, and VPN security
  • Ensure compliance with security standards
  • Support vulnerability remediation and audits

Cloud & Data Center Networking

  • Configure AWS/Azure/GCP networking services
  • Manage MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, routing, and gateways
  • Support redundancy and high-availability architectures

Collaboration

  • Work with cloud, server, and security teams
  • Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes
