Job Description
A Network Engineer (Infrastructure) is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise network systems. The role focuses on network performance, security, scalability, and cloud/on-premise connectivity across data centers and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Management
- Design and maintain LAN, WAN, and data center networks
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Support hybrid cloud networking environments
Operations & Support
- Monitor network performance and availability
- Troubleshoot L2/L3 network issues
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents
- Handle upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh activities
Security & Compliance
- Implement firewalls, ACLs, IDS/IPS, and VPN security
- Ensure compliance with security standards
- Support vulnerability remediation and audits
Cloud & Data Center Networking
- Configure AWS/Azure/GCP networking services
- Manage MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, routing, and gateways
- Support redundancy and high-availability architectures
Collaboration
- Work with cloud, server, and security teams
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes
