Linux Administrator L1

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to manage, support, secure, and maintain enterprise Linux server environments.

The role focuses on Red Hat Linux administration, OS hardening, patch management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and server lifecycle operations within enterprise infrastructure environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Linux operations, security patching, user management, and system administration processes.

Responsibilities

Linux Server Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Perform server provisioning and reconfiguration
• Manage operating system performance and stability
• Monitor server health and troubleshoot OS-level issues

Security & Hardening

• Implement OS hardening as per security standards
• Perform proactive security patching and upgrades
• Manage:
  • sudo access
  • ACL permissions
  • user access controls
• Purge and manage log files based on security policies

Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor operating system logs and performance metrics
• Coordinate:
  • firmware updates
  • OS upgrades
  • preventive maintenance
• Support incident and change management processes

Infrastructure Support

• Work with:
  • LDAP
  • NFS
  • Pacemaker
  • RHEV
• Support automation using:
  • Ansible

Required Skills

• Strong experience with:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Linux troubleshooting
  • OS hardening
• Experience in:
  • security patching
  • ACL and sudo configuration
  • user management
• Knowledge of:
  • OS migration
  • server monitoring
  • Linux networking and configuration
