Job Description

A Solution Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cloud-native software solutions that address business requirements and customer use cases. The role involves defining system architecture, creating high-level and low-level designs, selecting appropriate technologies, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring successful delivery of distributed, high-performance applications. The Solution Architect works closely with clients, product teams, and developers to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.


Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design end-to-end software solutions for customer requirements.
  • Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
  • Design frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and deployment architecture.
  • Build scalable, reusable, extensible, and secure application architectures.
  • Develop cloud-native and microservices-based applications.

System Analysis & Planning

  • Gather and analyse business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Perform domain modelling and system modelling.
  • Conduct solution sizing and effort estimation.
  • Define project scope and technical roadmap.
  • Support project planning and task allocation.

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Design applications for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Implement containerization using Docker.
  • Design multi-region, fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Define disaster recovery and high availability strategies.

Software Development & Engineering

  • Design object-oriented applications using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Apply Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Design Patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Develop REST APIs and distributed microservices.
  • Design scalable, high-concurrency systems.
  • Guide engineering teams throughout development.

Data & AI Solutions

  • Design data models and databases.
  • Build ETL pipelines for data processing.
  • Integrate PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Support analytics, reporting, and data visualization solutions.
  • Design AI, Machine Learning, GenAI, and LLM-based applications.
  • Enable AI Agents and intelligent automation solutions.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Artifactory.
  • Support automated testing and deployment.
  • Improve deployment reliability and scalability.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead development teams and mentor engineers.
  • Prevent architectural drift through technical governance.
  • Review technical designs and mentor lead developers.
  • Work with customers and stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical risks and project roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Documentation

  • Prepare architecture documents.
  • Create UML diagrams and ER diagrams.
  • Maintain technical specifications.
  • Produce solution design documentation.
