Job Summary

The position involves managing RDBMS systems and supporting the lifecycle of Hadoop clusters, including installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Hadoop Cluster Support
Assist in installation, configuration, and deployment of CDP Hadoop clusters.

System Monitoring
Monitor and maintain Hadoop ecosystem components.

Maintenance & Upgrades
Perform patching, maintenance, and system upgrades.

Database Management
Support database systems like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Backup & Recovery
Implement backup strategies to ensure data availability.

Troubleshooting
Resolve performance issues across database and Hadoop environments.

Linux Operations
Work with Linux systems for operational tasks.

Cross-team Collaboration
Coordinate with infrastructure and data teams.

Required Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Database, PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Knowledge of Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Database installation and configuration
  • Backup and recovery concepts
  • Performance tuning basics
  • Troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Cloudera Data Platform
  • Knowledge of HDFS, YARN, Apache Hive
