Job Description

A Senior Technical Consultant (Oracle E-Business Suite) is responsible for supporting, enhancing, developing, and maintaining Oracle EBS applications across Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance, and Manufacturing modules. The role involves incident resolution, client interaction, technical design, coding, debugging, documentation, deployment, root cause analysis, and production support while ensuring SLA compliance.

Responsibilities

Application Support

  • Resolve production incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting for Oracle EBS environments.
  • Ensure adherence to Response and Resolution SLAs.
  • Maintain technical knowledge base and standard operating procedures.

Development & Enhancement

  • Develop and customize Oracle EBS solutions.
  • Build and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions (RICE components).
  • Develop technical solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Perform coding, unit testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Create Oracle Reports, XML Publisher Reports, and Workflow customizations.

Client Interaction

  • Gather business requirements from clients.
  • Conduct technical discussions and propose solutions.
  • Understand customer-specific business processes.
  • Lead technical meetings with stakeholders.
  • Provide implementation and deployment support.

Technical Development

  • Develop using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Create complex procedures, packages, functions, and queries.
  • Customize Oracle Forms and Forms Personalization.
  • Develop Oracle Application Framework (OAF) solutions.
  • Build Interfaces and Data Conversions.
  • Use Shell Scripting and Python (preferred).
  • Prepare AIM documents such as MD070 and MD120.

Best Practices & Governance

  • Follow ITIL framework and support processes.
  • Document technical specifications.
  • Ensure continuous process improvements.
  • Support 24×7 production environments.
