The Pre-Sales Engineer partners with the sales team to provide technical expertise, design cloud solutions, and address customer technical challenges. This role combines technical architecture, client interaction, and solution design to support the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales Support
Partner with the customer cloud sales team to identify business opportunities and understand technical requirements.
Solution Architecture
Design and architect cloud-based solutions to address complex business and technical needs.
Sales Cycle Leadership
Lead technical presentations, product demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution briefings.
Technical Objection Handling
Identify technical challenges and provide prescriptive solutions tailored to customer environments.
Client Demonstrations
Work directly with customer cloud platforms to demonstrate integrations and prototypes.
Technical Documentation & Messaging
Create presentations, whitepapers, and technical documentation highlighting solution value.
Integration Strategy
Recommend enterprise architecture, platforms, and infrastructure for implementation.
Best Practice Guidance
Advise customers on optimizing cloud solutions and technical deployments.
Other Critical Functions
CRM Data Management
Maintain accurate customer information in Salesforce.
Technical Research
Use third-party tools to gather insights and support client needs.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
Use LMS platforms for certifications and provide advanced technical training to teams.
Thought Leadership
Promote best practices in cloud computing and technical solution design.
Mentoring
Coach team members and improve internal processes and workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years experience in technical sales engineering
- Experience with cloud technologies (Big Data, PaaS, IaaS)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
