Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Vision:
Defining and executing the technical strategy for Python-based solutions on Azure, aligning with overall business objectives.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers or data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Solution Architecture & Design:
Architecting and overseeing the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and cost-effective solutions using Python and various Azure services.
Technical Execution & Development:
Driving the technical execution of projects, potentially including hands-on development in Python and PySpark, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, other engineering teams, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Governance & Best Practices:
Establishing and enforcing standards for data quality, security, governance, and operational excellence within the Azure environment.
Continuous Improvement:
Identifying and implementing optimizations for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of Azure-based solutions.
Technology Scouting:
Staying abreast of emerging trends in Python, Azure, and related technologies to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Extensive Python Expertise:
Deep proficiency in Python programming, including advanced concepts and libraries, often with experience in data engineering (e.g., PySpark), machine learning, or web development frameworks.
Strong Azure Cloud Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of various Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure DevOps.
