Job Description

An Assistant Manager – Firmware Design (FW Design Engineer) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for power electronics products such as inverters, UPS systems, battery chargers, and solar energy solutions. The role focuses on firmware architecture, embedded communication, IoT integration, battery management, and technical leadership within product development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop firmware for high-power converters including DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC systems.
  • Develop firmware for solar hybrid inverters, GTI systems, UPS, PFC, MPPT controllers, and battery chargers.
  • Create and maintain firmware architecture and embedded software frameworks.
  • Implement communication protocols such as RS-232, Modbus, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, and GSM.
  • Integrate IoT-enabled devices with cloud platforms using Wi-Fi, GSM, or LTE technologies.
  • Develop and optimize MQTT-based communication solutions.
  • Design and implement Battery Management System (BMS) functionalities.
  • Develop charging algorithms for Lead-Acid and Lithium-Ion batteries.
  • Interface EEPROM, Flash memory, and peripheral devices with microcontrollers.
  • Work with ARM and TI-based microcontrollers using fixed-point and floating-point arithmetic.
  • Develop applications on RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, UCOS, QNX, or Zephyr.
  • Conduct firmware testing, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with hardware, testing, and product engineering teams.
