Job Description
The Accounts Manager – Fund Accounting role focuses on managing fund accounting operations for Mutual Fund and AIF (Alternative Investment Fund) clients.
The candidate will:
- Prepare and review NAV calculations
- Handle fund accounting operations
- Manage reconciliations and corporate actions
- Ensure accurate valuation of assets
- Support automation and process improvements
- Handle client reporting and compliance requirements
This role requires strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience in fund accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. NAV Preparation & Fund Accounting
- Prepare timely and accurate:
- Net Asset Values (NAV)
- Fund accounting reports
- Ensure accounting activities comply with client policies and procedures
2. Accounting & Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Securities positions
- Corporate actions
- Journal entries
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for portfolio securities
3. Reconciliation & Variance Analysis
- Perform account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances promptly
- Review reconciliations prepared by team members
4. Corporate Actions & Asset Valuation
- Manage corporate actions for Mutual Fund and AIF portfolios
- Ensure correct valuation of all asset classes within the portfolio
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing:
- Audit schedules
- Compliance reports
- Financial statements
- Tax returns
- Manage client queries related to:
- TDS
- NAV
- Reporting requirements
6. Automation & Process Improvement
- Drive automation initiatives in fund accounting systems
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
- Support change management initiatives
7. Team Support & SLA Management
- Train and guide team members
- Ensure SLAs and reporting timelines are met
- Support operational efficiency and accuracy
