About the Team

The Investment Solutions Services (ISS) delivery team supports Fidelity International’s global Investment Management business across the entire asset-management lifecycle. We work closely with Fund Managers, Research Analysts, Traders, and Investment Operations teams across international hubs including London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
Our India-based team plays a key role in delivering high-quality system development, implementation, and support for mission-critical investment technology platforms.

About the Role

We are hiring a Test Analyst (1–3 years) to join our QA Chapter within the Investment Management (IM) Technology group. In this role, you will work on functional and automation testing across multiple applications that support global investment operations.

You will analyse requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, execute tests, build automation scripts, and ensure the highest level of product quality.

What You Will Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

✔ Requirement & Analysis

  • Understand business needs, requirements, and user stories.
  • Analyse functional changes and plan relevant test activities.

✔ Test Planning & Execution

  • Create and execute functional, regression, and automation test cases.
  • Perform Smoke, Sanity, Black-box, and White-box testing across multiple environments.
  • Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

✔ Automation Development

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using:
    • Python (preferred)
    • Java
  • Use open-source tools such as:
    • Playwright
    • Pytest
    • Selenium
    • Rest Assured / Requests library

✔ Defect Management

  • Log defects with detailed documentation.
  • Work with Developers, BAs, and PMs to prioritise and resolve issues.

✔ Database & Backend Testing

  • Write and execute basic queries on relational and non-relational databases including:
    • Oracle
    • Snowflake

✔ Collaboration & Reporting

  • Attend daily stand-ups, team meetings, and QA sync-ups.
  • Maintain test cases, test results, and execution reports.
  • Highlight risks and blockers impacting delivery.

✔ Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated with the latest QA tools, automation frameworks, and industry trends.

About You (Skills & Experience)

Must-Have:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in functional and automation testing.
  • Experience with automation tools:
    • Playwright
    • Selenium
    • Pytest
    • Rest Assured / Python Requests
  • Good understanding of testing types like Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Black-Box & White-Box testing.
  • Strong reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Programming: Python (preferred) or Java
  • Databases: Oracle, Snowflake
  • Backend API testing
  • Test case design & documentation
  • Defect logging & tracking

Good to Have:

  • Experience in Finance / Investment / Asset Management domain
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes
