Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a core member of the Electronics team at Starkenn Technologies, contributing to the development of advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for OEM customers. You will lead system-level design, requirements engineering, safety analysis, and customer collaboration for driver safety solutions tailored to Indian road conditions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage system requirement specifications for ADAS functions
  • Design system architectures for complex ADAS projects, including:
    • AEBS (Automatic Emergency Braking System)
    • MOIS, ARAS
    • Driver Monitoring System (DMS)
    • Blind Spot Information System (BSIS)
    • Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)
    • Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
    • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
    • Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)
    • Alcohol Interlock Device
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system-level failures and risks
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, mechanical, and validation teams
  • Conduct functional safety analysis and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (ASIL-C / ASIL-D)
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance as per ISO 21434
  • Apply and ensure compliance with AIS standards (AIS-184, AIS-162, AIS-187, AIS-189, AIS-190, AIS-004)
  • Lead and support RFQ responses, technical documentation, and OEM communications
  • Spearhead Proof of Concept (POC) activities with OEM customers
  • Provide basic input on ECU mechanical packaging constraints
  • Define and validate sensor specifications (Radar, Camera) based on project needs
  • Ensure robust CAN communication, UDS (ISO 14229), and SAE J1939 integration

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in the automotive domain
  • Strong expertise in ADAS system engineering
  • Excellent understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Hands-on experience with system architecture design
  • Strong knowledge of CAN, UDS (ISO 14229), SAE J1939
  • Experience working with Radar and Camera sensors
  • Familiarity with MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow
  • Experience with Embedded C (preferred)
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for requirement and project management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structural thinking skills
  • Experience managing OEM customers from RFI to POC phase
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
