About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Investigator to lead investigations related to cloud security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments. In this role, you will analyze complex data sources, identify security threats, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe and secure cloud environment.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of cloud security incidents and vulnerability cases, analyzing diverse data sources to determine risk and impact.
• Manage multiple cross-functional escalations, prioritizing effectively and communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
• Resolve complex technical issues involving distributed, interconnected systems.
• Act as the subject-matter expert across multiple security domains, understanding how threats move between systems and services.
• Build strong working relationships with teams across the organization, including Legal, Engineering, and Communications.
• Assess the impact on Google Cloud customers and determine the need for new detections or compromise notifications.

🎯 Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, insider threat, or security design reviews.
• 2+ years of experience in incident response and incident management.
• 2+ years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Experience with malware prevention (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and a systematic, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
