Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead with strong expertise in Databricks, data engineering, and technical enablement. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of enablement programs for Databricks Technical Support teams, partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring they are equipped with up-to-date knowledge of the latest Databricks features and best practices.

You will collaborate closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs), learning architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical training that directly improves support efficiency, technical excellence, and key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Enablement Program Design & Delivery

  • Lead the design, curation, and maintenance of technical enablement programs focused on Databricks
  • Develop training programs covering data engineering, machine learning, Apache Spark, and analytics workflows
  • Ensure enablement content stays aligned with the latest Databricks platform updates and features
  • Support the onboarding and continuous upskilling of technical support engineers, partners, and internal teams

Collaboration & Curriculum Development

  • Work closely with subject-matter experts and learning architects to identify training needs
  • Scope and design new courses, as well as update and improve existing training materials
  • Translate complex technical concepts into structured, effective, and scalable learning programs
  • Apply instructional design best practices to create impactful learning experiences

Performance & KPI Improvement

  • Drive measurable improvements in Technical Support KPIs through effective enablement initiatives
  • Analyze lagging indicators to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously refine training programs and learning outcomes

Technical Leadership & Expertise

  • Act as a technical authority on Databricks-related technologies
  • Provide guidance on best practices in technical support, troubleshooting, and platform usage
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics

Skills & Experience

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Databricks, including:
    • Data Engineering
    • Machine Learning
    • Apache Spark
  • Experience with technical support best practices
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL
  • Solid analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider:
    • AWS
    • Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing and delivering highly technical training programs
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles
  • Experience enabling or mentoring technical teams at scale
  • Exposure to diversity and inclusion practices in training and team development

Education

  • UG: Any Graduate
  • PG: Any Postgraduate
