We are looking for a passionate and well-connected Sales Manager based in Canada to help drive Tamarind Globals growth in the B2B travel segment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Indias most trusted Destination Management Companies (DMCs), specializing in leisure, MICE, and bespoke inbound travel.
In this role, you will represent Tamarind Global’s India operations and be responsible for engaging with Canadian tour operators, travel agencies, and TMCs that send clients to India. Your primary focus will be on developing strategic relationships and positioning Tamarind Global as their preferred partner for all travel into India and the subcontinent including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development (India Inbound Focus)
- Identify, approach, and onboard B2B travel and tour companies across Canada who send individual or group travelers to India.
- Promote Tamarind Global’s full suite of India-based services, including bespoke FITs, leisure groups, corporate travel, MICE, and special interest tours.
- Actively pitch Tamarind Global as a preferred India DMC partner to relevant Canadian travel businesses.
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, ensuring satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
- Provide prompt, knowledgeable support regarding itineraries, pricing, service delivery, and operational coordination.
- Act as the local liaison for Canadian partners, bridging communication with the operations team in India.
3. Market Intelligence & Representation
- Represent Tamarind Global at local travel trade shows, roadshows, and networking events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor DMCs, pricing, and traveler preferences to identify new opportunities and gaps.
- Provide strategic feedback to the India team to tailor offerings for the Canadian market.
4. Coordination with India HQ
- Work closely with Tamarind’s India-based teams for itinerary planning, quotations, contracting, and service fulfillment.
- Ensure timely handover and follow-up for all client queries, quotes, and confirmations.
5. Reporting & Target Tracking
- Maintain updated sales pipelines and submit regular performance reports.
- Track lead conversion, file closures, and revenue generation metrics.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in B2B travel sales, preferably focused on India or South Asia inbound travel. Prior experience in working with DMCs or outbound travel agents is a strong asset.
- Location: Based in Canada, with valid work authorization and the ability to travel domestically for meetings or events.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Deep understanding of the travel trade ecosystem in Canada
- Existing network of travel agencies and tour operators (preferably handling India)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to inbound India travel products and itinerary design
- Familiarity with leisure, MICE, and experiential travel segments
- Cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills
