About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle databases, SQL optimization, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and data modeling. Youll work closely with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views.
- Write efficient SQL queries to handle complex business logic and large datasets.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and tune queries for performance optimization.
- Collaborate with application teams to integrate backend logic with front-end systems.
- Work with data models, design database schemas, and implement data migration scripts.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across applications.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control management (Git/SVN).
- Assist in production support — debugging, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c).
- Expert in PL/SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in SQL query optimization and execution plan analysis.
- Experience with data modeling and database design concepts (ER diagrams, normalization).
- Familiar with Unix/Linux scripting for automation and deployment.
- Experience using version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Good understanding of ETL processes and data migration techniques.
Good to Have
- Exposure to APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, or Java/.NET integration.
- Experience with cloud databases (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, or Azure SQL).
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
- Knowledge of performance tuning tools like AWR, ASH, or TKPROF.
