Job Description

The Nexthink Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automations on the Nexthink platform to enhance end-user device and service experiences.
This role focuses on scripting and automation using PowerShell and Shell scripting to execute actions and streamline IT operational workflows.

You will work as an individual contributor, collaborating directly with client stakeholders in an Agile delivery model, managing tasks through Jira, and owning automations end-to-end—from requirement analysis to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Strong hands-on Nexthink platform experience, scripting expertise, and client-facing communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automations using the Nexthink platform.
  • Build and enhance automation scripts using PowerShell for Windows environments.
  • Develop Shell scripts (Bash) for automation on UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Translate client requirements, user stories, and Jira tasks into reliable, testable automations.
  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders in an Agile setup using Jira boards.
  • Test, document, deploy, and support automations throughout their lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations to improve performance and reliability.
  • Own deliverables end-to-end as an individual contributor.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience building automation solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with the Nexthink platform.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and orchestration.
  • Strong proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash) on UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Jira for work management.
  • Ability to work independently with direct client interaction.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Python for automation and system integrations.
  • Exposure to IT operations, endpoint management, or digital employee experience platforms.
