Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to manage and scale a growing data engineering team. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, process improvement, and cross-team collaboration.
You will guide engineers building data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning, while ensuring high code quality, scalability, and data security.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers
- Plan and manage sprint delivery, priorities, and stakeholder communication
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Design scalable data solutions on GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Composer)
- Model and transform data using dbt and SQL
- Ensure best practices in code reviews, testing, documentation, and monitoring
- Work closely with Analytics, BI, Marketing, Sales, and Revenue teams
- Ensure data security, privacy, and governance, especially for customer data
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- 2+ years of team leadership or people management experience
- Strong experience with Python, Spark, Kafka
- Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Composer)
- Strong SQL skills and experience using dbt
- Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Knowledge of data privacy and governance practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in digital media or performance marketing
- Familiarity with platforms like Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, GA4
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker)
- Exposure to ML workflows and experimentation platforms
