Job Description

We are seeking an experienced GIS Developer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of GIS applications and spatial workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS technologies, Python/ArcPy, and web GIS development using JavaScript/TypeScript. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable GIS tools, automate geoprocessing tasks, and maintain enterprise GIS systems.

Key Responsibilities

GIS Development & Automation

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Python/ArcPy-based geoprocessing tools.
• Create geoprocessing models and automate workflows for spatial data processing.
• Build and deploy geoprocessing services in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Web GIS Application Development

• Develop custom GIS applications and widgets using:
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Esri Experience Builder
  • Web AppBuilder
• Integrate map, feature, and geoprocessing services into web GIS applications.

ArcGIS Server & Portal Management

• Write Python automation scripts for ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Portal/Online.
• Publish, configure, and maintain:
  • Map services
  • Feature services
  • Geoprocessing services

Code Quality & Collaboration

• Maintain clean, source-controlled, well-documented code.
• Contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of GIS applications.
• Assist with ongoing support for enterprise GIS tools, applications, and databases.

Required Skills & Abilities

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with the ArcGIS Platform (Enterprise, Server, Portal/Online).
• Expertise in Python, ArcPy, ArcSDE, and GIS database workflows.
• Hands-on development using JavaScript/TypeScript for Esri web frameworks.
• Ability to create, deploy, and consume geoprocessing tools and services.
• Knowledge of SQL; SQL Server GIS experience is a plus.
