Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and Data Warehousing (DWH) solutions
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows to ensure high data quality, performance, and reliability
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes for structured and semi-structured data
  • Write efficient and reusable Python scripts for automation, data processing, and pipeline enhancements (AI exposure is an added advantage)
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to ensure smooth data flow and minimal downtime
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with best practices
  • Maintain documentation related to data architecture, pipelines, and workflows
  • (Optional) Work with Databricks for advanced data processing and analytics
  • (Optional) Build dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business decision-making

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Engineering tools, including:
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure Data Lake
    • Microsoft Fabric
    • SQL & Data Warehousing (DWH)
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation
  • Good understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience in building scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Databricks
  • Exposure to Power BI for reporting and visualization
  • Knowledge of automation and orchestration best practices
