🧩 Role Overview

As an EDR Security Engineer, you will protect client systems by monitoring and responding to security threats using Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools. You’ll help detect malware, investigate alerts, and support incident response activities.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor EDR alerts and identify potential security threats
• Assist senior engineers in malware investigation and response
• Help deploy, configure, and maintain EDR tools on client systems
• Perform routine checks like updates, policy reviews, and system health
• Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems
• Work with customers to improve endpoint security coverage
• Support automation and improve response playbooks
• Maintain clear security documentation

🎯 Required Skills & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Cybersecurity
• Around 2 years of experience in IT security, system admin, or endpoint support
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (malware, threats, incident response)
• Experience or familiarity with EDR tools like:
  • Microsoft Defender
  • CrowdStrike
  • SentinelOne
  • Cortex XDR, Carbon Black, Cisco AMP, etc.
• Knowledge of networking basics
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash (basic level is fine)
• Familiarity with SIEM / log analysis tools (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
