Job Description

Ralph Lauren is seeking an Associate Digital Technology Developer (OMS) to join our digital technology team. This role focuses on Order Management Systems (IBM Sterling OMS), microservices development, and integration with customer service platforms.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality order management and customer service solutions in a fast-paced retail environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop microservices to support modular, scalable, and maintainable order management and customer service workflows
  • Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, consultants, and vendors to deliver business requirements, functional specifications, and system designs
  • Contribute to the IBM NextGen Call Center platform using AngularJS, integrating it with OMS and backend services
  • Coordinate feature requests and change management with development partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Build, deploy, and maintain code across all managed environments
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation for IBM Sterling OMS and microservices
  • Identify opportunities to improve order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service processes
  • Coordinate product cases and support tickets with the IBM Center of Competency (CoC) team
  • Participate in system testing, integration testing, and UAT
  • Provide 24/7 production support, especially during peak order processing periods
  • Lead or participate in outage calls, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with business and support teams to design dashboards, alerts, and monitoring reports

🎯 Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience with IBM Sterling OMS
  • Hands-on experience in microservices architecture
  • Proficiency in Java / J2EE
  • Experience with RESTful services
  • Frontend experience with AngularJS
  • Strong understanding of order fulfillment and inventory management
  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT
  • Experience with Git / Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with IBM Call Center / SOM
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in retail or e-commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with JIRA
