The Opportunity

LegalEase is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our growing team and work closely with our SaaS partner. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent, agent-based AI systems that power next-generation features in our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.

You will work at the intersection of Machine Learning, NLP, Agentic AI, and Software Engineering, building autonomous, goal-driven AI agents capable of reasoning, learning, and acting in dynamic legal environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of legal technology using cutting-edge AI frameworks and large language models.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable agentic AI systems capable of autonomously executing complex workflows
• Design and deploy intelligent legal agents that interpret contracts, reason over legal data, and complete multi-step tasks
• Research, prototype, and productionize ML/DL models, particularly in NLP / NLU
• Build multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Function Calling
• Fine-tune and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) using PEFT, LoRA, and RAG techniques for legal use cases
• Develop and maintain AI infrastructure covering training, inference, monitoring, and continuous learning
• Work closely with legal experts, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver explainable and trustworthy AI solutions
• Contribute to AI strategy and roadmap for agent-based automation in legal operations and contract management

🛠️ Required Skills & Experience

🔹 Core AI & ML

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems (AutoGPT-style agents, multi-agent pipelines)
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP
• Experience working with Transformers, BERT, LSTMs, and modern NLP architectures

🔹 LLMs & Agentic AI

• Experience with OpenAI, LLaMA, Falcon or similar LLMs
• Strong skills in prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG architectures
• Hands-on experience with Reinforcement Learning (PPO, RLHF, RLAIF)

🔹 Tools & Frameworks

• Python (strong proficiency)
• PyTorch, TensorFlow
• HuggingFace Transformers
• LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel
• SpaCy
• Experience extracting semantic information from PDFs, scanned documents, and images

🔹 Development Practices

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
• Passion for innovation and autonomous system design
